We are looking for people who are willing to engage with families and establish strengths-based relationships.
The person will also assist the Child and Family Team for the purpose of implementing the Plan of Care that is family-centered, community-oriented, strengths-based, and highly individualized.
Some functions include:
Meeting families where they are and providing parents and children with a safe environment that will promote a stronger emotional family connection.
Assessing and identifying areas of concern for both parents and children and addressing those in a nurturing loving way using the Post method.
Encouraging communication of emotions and feelings with parents and children.
Coaching one-on-one with a child or group of children, or parents, as necessary.
Assessing the day of the parents and the children to support processing of challenging situations.
Encouraging fun so that learning becomes a natural part of the process.
Demonstrating the qualities of Mindfulness, Regulation, and Understanding -- those of a positive role model for parents and children.
Qualities we are looking for in an applicant:
A reliable individual who will help reduce the stress in the family.
Someone who is creative in ways to meet the family's needs.
Someone who is able to work independently with a family as well as consult with a team.
An individual who has had experience working with stressful/difficult situations.
Someone who is able to meet families in their homes or other designated destinations.
Please be ready to provide three (3) references and a letter of recommendation.
