As an HRG, you will work alongside the Director of Human Resources and assist in the daily functions of the HR Department including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, safety, training, credentialing, and supporting employees and supervisors.

As the HRG, your daily tasks will vary and may include:
support employees and supervisors, review the latest laws and regulations, review timecards electronically, post job openings, triage qualified candidates, conduct phone interviews, assist in the credentialing and re-credentialing of our licensed staff, participate in HR Peer network calls, provide conflict negotiation as it arises, and help plan employee fun days and other recognition events.
The ideal HRG is flexible, enjoys building relationships, models great work ethic and diligence, is resourceful, and can support employees and supervisors to achieve their goal.
The exemplary candidate has outstanding listening skills, can communicate one-on-one and in a group, and has excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or 3 years' working experience in Human Resources; SHRM-CP or PHR certifications are a plus.
Willing to consider current students completing their Bachelor's degree in HRM.
Background providing outstanding customer service Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Knowledge of principles and best practices for recruitment, confidentiality, ethics, benefits, teamwork, and active listening.
Hours:
This position is 24 hours/ week and must be performed within our operating hours.
Should a candidate be seeking FT work, we have a part-time position at 12-16 hours/ week for admin assistant duties that can be coupled to the HRG job.

Summary of Duties The HR Generalist (HRG) provides support to the Director of HR, while collaborating together in developing and improving HR department goals and systems, supporting our relational culture and our employees.
The HRG will assist in recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance with CA and Federal laws and regulations, support and guide employees with issues, concerns, and interpretation of policies and procedures.
Additionally, the HRG will be responsible for conducting new employee orientations, preparing for all staff meetings, and assist in benefits administration.
The HRG will maintain and organize files and documents (paper and electronic) for many aspects of the HR department.
In addition, the HRG will research and complete project-based assignments as directed.
Essential Functions Communicate and collaborate in a team-oriented environment supporting our relationship-based model of care.
Recruitment Assist in full employment screening and recruitment process including job postings within our HRIS (BambooHR), triage qualified candidates, conduct phone interviews, schedule interviews with supervisors, and conduct reference checks Attend occasional job fairs, career days, and other recruitment events Onboarding /pre-onboarding Coordinate employment credentialing requirements, pre-employment requirements, and start dates Prepares for and conduct new employee orientations Benefits Administration Collaborate with HR Director and benefits broker for effective communication of plan renewals and changes.
Communicate open enrollment, plan changes, and optional benefits to all staff.
Conduct beginning and end of month benefits premium audits, employee qualifying events, and enrollments.
Track and record provider CME, employee uniform reimbursements, and other employee related benefits.
People Resource Assist employees in getting the information or help that they need Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations Address employee concerns, guiding them to resolution; refer complex and sensitive issues to the Director of HR Compliance Assist in the credentialing and re-credentialing of licensed providers and other licensed staff Ensure annual trainings are being properly tracked in HRIS and identify areas for improvement Maintain I-9 Employment Eligibility documents - verifying documents at time of hire, copying and filing Be a resource to supervisors and employees regarding WHF P&P and CA employment labor law Assist in revision and implementation of Winters Healthcare policies, procedures, and employee handbook Bring employment related issues to the attention of the Director of HR and assist in risk management Stay up to date with new Federal and California related laws, regulations, and benefits Safety & Training Support HR Director in hosting trainings and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of employee trainings Support the organization in maintaining a safe and respectful space by modeling safety and respect Assist in ergonomic assessments for employees, and order supplies as directed/approved Other HR functions Support semi-monthly payroll by reviewing and correcting all employee timecards Maintain company organization charts and employee telephone directory Day-to-day tasks such as maintain paper and electronic files, keeping documents organized and confidential Support HR Director in employee recognition as well as the planning and execution of employee-related functions such as Fun days, trainings, holiday party, and other employee recognition events/projects Prepare conference room for all staff meetings and trainings; assist in the setup of virtual login and presentation Prepare, review, and send documents as directed Research and provide information for project-based assignments Performs other related duties as required and assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Winters Healthcare is a smaller organization; therefore, some positions only require part-time or less than part-time hours.

Administrative Assistant and Board of Directors Liaison Vacancy ( 12-16 hours/ week) Responsible for maintaining inventory and placing orders of printed materials including business cards, letterhead, post cards, promotional materials, employee badges, etc.
Triage incoming mail, supporting the Director of Finance with AP and AR.
Order supplies for all departments on an ongoing basis and submit receipts monthly to the Director of Finance.
As the BOD liaison, work closely with the Executive Director in all facets of the WHF Board of Directors meetings including BOD communications, board agenda and packet preparation, and day of logistics for Board Meetings Attend monthly evening board meetings (4th Thursday of every month), recording, submitting and organization minutes.
Maintain and order engraved leaves for donor tree.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
